In this article, you can learn what methods Flatio uses to verify guests who make a booking request on any property listed on Flatio.
Are guests on Flatio verified?
We understand that it's important to have confidence in a guest you're considering to accommodate in your property. That's why we do everything we can to verify Flatio guests and ensure you have all the information you need in the following ways:
- Profile creation
We ask all guests to fill out their profiles as much as possible, stating all the relevant information (i.e., why they're looking for accommodation, who will live with them, where they work/study, and who they are as a person) and adding their profile photo. - Email verification
Even though email verification is currently optional, you can always see whether the guest has verified their email address and can be certain it belongs to them. Alternatively, guests can choose to connect their Flatio profile to their Google/Apple/Facebook account, which verifies the given email address automatically. - Reviews from previous hosts
If the guest has already stayed in a property via Flatio, you have the previous host's review available. These evaluations even include their assessment of communication and cleanliness of the guest, together with the information on whether they recommend the guest or not.
This information can provide you with an overview of who the guests are and if they can be trusted. If you're ever unsure, you can always choose to contact the guest and request any additional information before you decide about their booking request.
